Yarra Ranges Pool Fence Inspections is a pool & spa fencing inspection company based in Lilydale, servicing the Yarra Ranges and surrounding areas. We conduct inspections of your pool or spa fence and provide you with a ‘Certificate of Compliance’ ( Form 23 ).

Lindsay is a qualified and registered inspector with the Victorian Building Authority that can conduct pool and spa barrier inspections and issue compliance certificates (Form 23) so you can be assured your pool is safe and complaint.

  • Owner Obligations.

    Did you know? It is now the law in Victoria to register your pool with your local council and provide certification.

    ​Swimming pool and spa owners must meet the regulatory requirements for the installation of swimming pools and spas and safety barriers. These regulations are aimed at protecting young lives. For your own financial security and peace of mind compliance with legislation is an important aspect to any home. We are only too happy to help, get in touch now to book your inspection. The obligations for legislative compliance rests on the pool owner. Pool & spa owners must ensure they have a compliant safety barrier in accordance with legislation and relevant Australian Standards and that their pool / spa is registered with their local council.

    This applies to permanent and relocatable pools and spas as well as inflatable pools capable of holding a depth of water greater than 300 mm.

  • Requirements.

    All swimming pools and spas containing water greater than 300 mm (30 cm) must have a compliant safety barrier to restrict access to the pool area by young children (under the age of five)

    Barriers are required for: in-ground pools and spas above-ground pools and spas, including inflatable pools, holding more than 300 mm (30 cm) of water, indoor pools and spas bathing and wading pools containing more than 300 mm (30 cm) of water.

    The construction and installation of swimming pools, spas and safety barriers including barrier maintenance are all subject to the requirements of the Building Regulations 2018 (The Regulations).

  • Service.

    We offer an inspection service to ensure your pool or spa barrier meets legislative responsibilities as well as assistance with the council registration process.

    We will provide you with a ‘certificate of compliance’ (Form 23) or a detailed report explaining what requirements you must make to obtain compliance.

    Once certified, your Certificate of Barrier Compliance’ (Form 23) is valid for 4 years from the date of issue. We will advise you prior to your next inspection in 4 years. Visit our process & pricing page to see how we can help you make your pool or spa barrier compliant.
